Day 1 Athens
Upon arrival at Athens International Airport, meet and greet service by our professional English speaking assistant and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure and overnight. (No meals)

Day 2 Athens

After breakfast at hotel, pick up for our Athens Sightseeing Tour. Our Athens Half Day Tour begins with a panoramic drive around Syntagma square, passing by many sightseeing hot spots such as National Garden, Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Catholic Cathedral and Schliemann’s House. We will then drive past the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Our licensed guide will make you feel as if you are experiencing firsthand Athens’s old and new history as you look at these stately buildings. We continue for a photo stop at Panathenaic Stadium, otherwise known as Kallimarmaro Stadium, where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. As we proceed, we pass by Zappeion and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Last but not least, we make our way to the archaeological site of Acropolis, an UNESCO’S world heritage monument and we visit Propylae, as well as the small Temple of Athena Nike. Of course, our visit shall not be completed without the Parthenon and Erechtheion. The expert guided Athens sightseeing and museum tour continues with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the New Acropolis Museum. Day 3 Athens Mykonos

Day 4 Mykonos
Enjoy your stay in the island of Aeolos (God of the Wind), Mykonos. Take the opportunity to swim into the crystal blue Mykonian sea and take a sip of a mouthwatering cocktail by its golden beaches. Take a walk around its many well preserved windmills and hundreds of little white houses and do not miss visiting the historical ancient site of Delos. You may join one of our optional tours available (Mykonos Town & Island tour, Delos tour etc).

Day 5 Mykonos Santorini
greece003Enjoy your last few morning hours in Mykonos and according to ferry schedule transfer to Mykonos port to embark on the ferry to Santorini Island. Upon arrival in Santorini port, transfer to your hotel.

 

 

 

 


Day 6 Santorini
Today you will have the opportunity to go on a Volcano & Hot Springs Tour (on shared basis, not private), visiting Nea Kameni lava island, Palea Kameni, Santorini lava island & Hot Springs, Thirassia island, Cruise under Oia and have free time for swimming during cruise.

Day 7 Santorini Heraklion (Crete)
Enjoy your last few morning hours in Santorini Island. According to ferry schedule, transfer to the port of Santorini to embark on the ferry for Crete Island. Upon arrival at Heraklion port, transfer to hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.

Day 8 Heraklion (Crete)
greece004Make the most of your time in Crete by visiting its numerous beaches, the famous Palace of Knossos or just walk around the old town of Heraklion, with its small souvenir shops and local taverns. Crete is the biggest island of Greece, where you can taste the local specialties, drink lots of “raki” or “tsikoudia” and listen to traditional music, always accompanied by the famous Cretan dances.

Day 3 Athens Olympia
greece006After breakfast, pick up from hotel for your three day Classical tour to Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia and Delphi in order to explore some of the most famous sites in Greek mainland.
We depart for our tour the coastal National highway for the Corinth Canal (short stop). After the Corinth Canal, we drive to Epidaurus and visit its Ancient theatre, world famous for its outstanding acoustics. Then we enter the region of Argolis, land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the major centers of Greek civilization and a military stronghold which dominated most of southern Greece. We will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon & Clytemnestra's tombs, as well as the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th-century B.C. structure. In the afternoon (after an optional stop for souvenirs), we depart for Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Day 4 Olympia Delphi
greece007After breakfast, we start our day with a visit to the Olympia archaeological site with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum. After Olympia, we depart via Patras (short stop) to Rion, cross the Corinthian bay by the new bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon, we visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Dinner and Overnight stay in Delphi. ( B, D)

 

Day 5 Delphi Kalambakaelphi * Kalambaka
In the morning, we visit the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. We pass by Castalia Spring, visit the archaeological site and view the monument of the Argive Kings, the Temple of Pronaia, the treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo, famous for its oracle. Of course, we wouldn’t miss Delphi museum, with its spectacular exhibits, including the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos, the metopes of the Athenian treasury, the famous bronze Charioteer and many other artifacts. Continue our journey to Kalambaka , a small picturesque city built on the slopes of Meteora . Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kalmabaka  ( B,D )

Day 6 Kalambaka Athens
After breakfast check out and start the  visit of Meteora monasteries.
Walking in Kalambaka in the shadow of the mountains, you will spend the morning at one unique place.  You will have the opportunity to visit 2 of the monasteries at Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Meteora means "suspended in air" which is literally how most see these monasteries, perched high up on the sheer cliff and mountain faces. This site has been fascinating visitors for decades. In olden times, there were no stairs and access to these structures, with supplies winched up to the monks by pulleys and windlasses. The monks would move between the monasteries using retractable robe ladders. Today, these ancient wonders are still home to many monks. On the tour of the monasteries you will visit some of the monasteries that are more easily accessible to the public and take is their artistic wonders, marveling at the very different life of those who spend their day hovering high in the sky like eagles. After the tour of Meteora, the coach will take you back to Athens, travelling though Thermopylae, the place where 300 Spartans held of the Persian army. After a short stop for photos, you will travel through the town of Kamena Vourla and back to Athens. Overnight at your hotel in Athens. ( B ) .

Day 3 Delphi
greece009After breakfast, pick up from hotel for your one day tour to Delphi in order to explore one of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece. Along our way from Athens to Delphi, we pass by the plain of Boeotia, one of the most important agricultural centers in Greece, as well as by the city of Thebes, the birthplace of King Oedipus.
We will continue our Delphi day tour towards Mount Parnassos, making a short rest stop outside the town of Levadia. We will then drive to Delphi, known as the navel of the world in ancient times. We walk by Castalia Spring, visit the archaeological site and view the monument of the Argive Kings, the treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the monument of Platea and of course, the Temple of Apollo, famous for its oracle. We also visit Delphi museum, whose spectacular exhibits include the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos, the metopes of the Athenian treasury, the famous bronze Charioteer, originally created to commemorate a victory during the 476 B.C. Pythian Games, and many other artifacts. After lunch, we return to Athens via the picturesque mountain village of Arachova, built on the south slopes of Parnassus, well known for its attractive hand-woven carpets, rugs and quilts, as well as for its wine and cheese (short stop). Day 4   3 Islands Aegina – Poros – Hydra
greece010After transferring from Athens to Marina Flisvos by coach, you'll set sail for the 3 islands of the Argosaronic Gulf. As soon as the cruise ship leaves, the ship’s guide and the hostesses will help you get acquainted and shall give you all the information concerning the ship, the program of the cruise and the islands and to make sure you will have a to have a pleasant day. Take advantage of this day cruise from Athens to the fabulous Greek islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina for a relaxing day on the sea. With all your transport, transfers and buffet lunch organized, you can sit back and enjoy your leisurely day cruise with free time on each island to explore.
The island of Hydra is the favorite island of the jet set, whose old traditional beautiful stone houses and mansions silently witness to a long and turbulent story. Although Poros is the smallest of the three islands that we visit, its attraction is the narrow strait offering a most enchanting view of the town. Aegina is a popular getaway for Athenians during the summer months, as this lovely island is only 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Athens. Upon arrival to the island, you can either join an optional excursion to the Temple of Aphaia or take a walk around the main town.
On our way back to Marina Flisvos, a traditional Greek folk show with singers and dancers will entertain you up to the final moment as the ship arrives at Marina Flisvos, from where you will be transferred back to Athens. ( B & L )
