Day 1 – Paris

Arrival at Paris and check in at hotel. Overnight.

Day 2 – Explore Paris from New Perspectives

paris001You’ll begin your first day in Paris with a bus tour. From the top of the double-decker bus you can gaze at Paris from above as you pass by the Parisian streets. With all the different circuits you can take, you can see the most famous monuments and landmarks across all of Paris. Get out and wander around Paris’ unique neighborhoods by hopping off and hopping back on the bus at many different bus stops, whenever you want.
After lunch, discover the historical center of Paris around the Notre Dame Cathedral with a self-guided walking tour. We will provide you with your walking itinerary so that you can navigate and discover the remarkable buildings and the area that was the birthplace of the city. You’ll learn some facts about each one too.
Towards evening, you will enjoy a 1-hour discovery cruise on the Seine River. Be amazed by all the famous bridges and buildings you’ll float past on this cruise. As Paris was built up around the Seine, many of its landmarks can be seen along the banks of the river. Admire the lights and atmosphere of the city from your comfortable spot on the boat.

Day 3 – Louvre + Champs-Elysées Avenue

paris002Today you will begin your day off by viewing some of the world’s artistic masterpieces at the Louvre Museum. You’ll avoid waiting in long lines by using your fast-track entrance ticket to get in. Choose to see either the main masterpieces (think Mona Lisa, Venus of Milo, etc.) or you can get lost in discovering the amazing Louvre.
After lunch take your second self-guided walking tour of the Champs-Elysées neighborhood. You’ll get to experience the bustling shopping avenue and you’ll also get to discover the area around this main touristic destination. If you see a store you want to stop in, of course take advantage of this time to shop.
As you end your walking tour you’ll be right near the Arc de Triomphe. Take the time to snap all your photos of this beauty and then climb up the Arc de Triomphe with your provided tickets. You will have one of the most spectacular views of all of Paris from the roof of this monument. If you time it right you can be up there just as the sun sets.

 

Day 4 – Exploring Paris’ Neighborhoods

paris003On your fourth day, experience the Orsay Museum, another one of Paris’ most celebrated museums. Skip the line with your fast-track ticket. You’ll be able to admire the masterpieces of Degas, Renoir, and Monet with the wonderful impressionist collection at this museum. Don’t forget to admire the architecture of this former train station turned museum.
In the early afternoon, take a self-guided walking tour through the upscale Saint Germain des Prés neighborhood. See the cafés that the intellectuals of Paris used to frequent. See the St. Germain church and Abbey and the location of Paris’ money mint. In the later afternoon and into the evening, you’ll discover all that the Montmartre neighborhood has to offer. Your self-guided walking tour will take you through this artistic neighborhood to discover the character and heart of the neighborhood.

Day 5 –Versailles

paris004Today you’ll depart on your half-day excursion to the luxurious and ornate Versailles Castle. Your transportation to Versailles and admission are all included to make the trip hassle-free. An audio guide is also included so that you can learn more about the history of each room and the castle’s famous inhabitants including King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
You can enter the traditionally kept French gardens of Versailles as well (included in price, except for days with special events in the gardens). You can stroll among the manicured gardens where former Kings and nobles also wandered.

Day 6 – Departures

Check out from hotel and transfer to the Airport for your departure flight.

 

Roma

DAY 01 ROME

Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Welcome dinner.

DAY 02 ROME

roma001Explore the Roman Forum and Palatine, the Colosseum and the theatrical Piazza Navona, the Trevi fountain. You will also visit the Pantheon, originally a Roman temple to the gods, and the magnificent Castel Sant’Angelo, which overlook the Tiber river.

 

DAY 03 ROME

Visit Vatican City and explore the treasures of the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel with its famous frescoes by Michelangelo. Continue to St. Peter’s Basilica, a Renaissance and Baroque masterpiece. Explore at your leisure this afternoon, and tonight, make a tasty Culinary Connection as you learn the secrets of pizza making from an authentic Roman pizzaiolo.

DAY 04 FLORENCE

roma002Depart for Florence this morning, stopping en route for a visit to the scenic Tuscan town of Siena, built on three hills and enclosed by walls and gates. Visit Siena’s Duomo. Afterward, stop for a brief visit in the delightful town of San Gimignano before continuing to Florence. Arrive in Florence later this afternoon.

DAY 05 FLORENCE

Set out to discover this vast and beautiful monument to the Renaissance, one of the world’s great capitals of arts. A specialist art guide accompanies you on visits to the Uffizi Gallery, housing some of the world’s most important art treasures, as well as The Galleria dell’Accademia to see Michelangelo’s David. Enjoy a light lunch before visiting a traditional Florentine enoteca, where the owner conducts a tasting of various regional wines.

DAY 06 VENICE

Depart Florence this morning to Venice. On arrival, transfer along the Grand Canal to St. Mark’s Square, known as “the drawing room of Europe”, for a walking tour of the square that includes St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace. End the day with a Venetian Sprits looking out over the Grand Canal.

DAY 07 VENICE

roma003Visit to the market district around the Rialto bridge. Stop at the nearby Frari church, where you can admire timeless works by Bernini and Titian. End your morning with special private visit to the long-serving atelier (workshop) for Venice’s iconic carnival costumes, housed in a Venetian palace that is still home to one of the city’s oldest families. Tour the palace, and learn the history of the costumes and how they are made on this remarkable Artisan Connection. Mark the end of your journey with a festive farewell dinner.


DAY 08 DEPARTURE

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

 

London

 Day 1:

Today you are off on your exciting European tour with Thomas Cook, as you board your flight to London. Proceed for dinner at an Indian restaurant and later to your hotel and check-in.

Day 2:

london001After continental buffet breakfast, we proceed for a guided city tour with an expert English speaking guide who will explain to you all the highlights of London’s landmarks: Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, the Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, river Thames and many more. This afternoon lunch will be on your own. Later visit the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum. This museum houses a unique collection of world’s largest wax works of famous personalities, including India’s top leaders and film stars. Next, we take you on the famous London Eye – one of the world’s largest observation wheels. Tonight, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant.

 

Day 3:

After continental buffet breakfast, we then take you to visit the famous Windsor Castle - Queen of England’s favourite weekend home. Be enthralled by this  thousand year old fortress transformed into a royal palace. Today lunch will be on your own. Later we take you to visit the famous Warner Bros Studios. Immerse yourself in the magic and mystery of Harry Potter and explore the original film sets in a relaxed manner. See the Gothic grandeur of the Ministry of Magic; walk the serpentine streets of Dragon Alley; and admire intricate costumes and vibrant props in exhibition galleries. Capture fabulous photographs at iconic locations such as Platform 93/4 and beside the antique Hogwarts Express on this enchanting excursion. Tonight, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant.
NOTE : If Harry Potter is closed, the group will do Legoland

Day 4:

After continental buffet breakfast, check-out and proceed to Bicester Village, one of the world’s premier luxury shopping destinations with over 130 luxury boutiques with discounted price all year round through. This afternoon lunch will be on your own. Later drive through the beautiful English countryside to Stratford - upon - Avon, William Shakespeare’s birthplace. Visit the house where he was born and wrote much of his famous works. This evening after dinner at an Indian restaurant check in to your hotel.

Day 5:

london002After continental buffet breakfast, check-out and proceed to visit the famous Old Trafford Stadium home to Manchester United Club. Re - live the clubs triumphs, tragedies & trophies in the Museum. Delve behind the scenes on the Stadium tour, visit the home changing room, sit in the dug-out & run down the tunnel to the roar of  the crowd. This afternoon lunch will be on your own. Later drive through England’s first ever National Park known as the Lake District, a mountainous region dotted with lakes, truly an inspiration for many writers including William Wordsworth. Enjoy scenic cruise on Lake Windermere. This evening after dinner at an Indian restaurant check in to your hotel.

Day 6:

After continental buffet breakfast, we check-out and proceed to visit a whisky distillery in Scotland where you will get an insight into the production process. Later stop at Gretna Green - one of the world’s most popular runaway wedding destinations. Today lunch will be on your own. Later proceed to Edinburgh, on arrival meet your local guide for a city tour of Edinburgh who will tell you about the history and culture of this city. See the Scottish parliament, imposing Edinburgh Castle with its breath-taking views over the city and many more interesting sights. This evening after dinner at an Indian restaurant check in to your hotel.

Day 7:

london003After continental buffet breakfast, proceed on a scenic drive to the mystic Scottish Highlands comprising of vales, woodlands and lochs. Arrive at Fort William, also known as the outdoor capital of Scotland. Lying in the shadow of Ben Nevis and  on the shore of Loch Linnhe its setting is dramatically beautiful. Today lunch will be on your own. Later take a ride on the UK’s only mountain gondola that takes you up to a height of 650m on the mountain of Aonach Mor, in the Nevis Range. Be mesmerized the stunning scenery of the surrounding lochs and glens. Tonight, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant.

Day 8:

After a continental buffet/boxed breakfast, we transfer you to the airport for your flight back home. Packed lunch will be provided on this day if your flight departs after 1800hrs local time.
